How do we know you’re the right photographer for us?

If you value:

-Natural and honest images

-A calm, experienced presence who takes time to understand your needs

-Someone who blends in when needed and steps in when it matters then we’re probably a great fit.

Photography is one of the few things that lasts long after the day itself, that is why choosing someone you trust makes all the difference.

If you feel good and see ourselves as a good fit, please send me a message to arrange a call.

We’re awkward in front of the camera… is that a problem?

Not at all — most couples feel exactly the same.
You don’t need to know how to pose or “perform”. I give gentle direction when needed and keep things relaxed so you look natural, not staged. If you want candid, real photos that feel like you, you’re in the right place.

How many photos will we receive?

While quality matters more than quantity, you can expect around 500–800 fully edited images for a full-day wedding in West Yorkshire. Every wedding is unique, but I guarantee a comprehensive gallery that tells your full story.  Every image you receive is professionally edited and chosen because it adds something meaningful to your story.

Will you stay the whole day?

My full day options exclude any time restrictions, so you get me for the full day with no clock watching. This will cover from getting ready through to first dance and beyond if you choose.

Can we choose specific shots and poses?

“Absolutely — I encourage couples to share inspiration photos. I also work in a natural style, blending posed group shots with candid moments for true storytelling.”

Will you capture all the important moments?

Absolutely. Your wedding isn’t a photoshoot — it’s a real, fast-moving day. Please feel free to send me list of your ‘must take photo list’. My job is to anticipate moments before they happen, not chase them after they’ve gone.
From the big milestones (ceremony, speeches, first dance) to the small, emotional in-between moments, I work discreetly and methodically so nothing meaningful is missed.

What’s your photography style?

Timeless, natural, and story-led.
I focus on real moments, honest emotion, and flattering light — not heavy filters or trendy editing that will date quickly. Your photos should still feel right in 10, 20, 30 years.

Have you photographed weddings like ours before?

Very likely.
I’ve photographed weddings across a wide range of venues, cultures, faiths, and family dynamics. Every wedding is unique, but experience means I adapt quickly, stay calm under pressure, and know how to handle whatever the day throws at me.

What happens if you’re ill or something unexpected happens?

Your wedding is a non-negotiable commitment.
I have contingency plans in place and a trusted professional network, so in the extremely unlikely event something prevents me from attending, you would still be fully covered.

What if it rains / the venue is dark / lighting is difficult?

That’s part of the job — and experience matters here.
I’m completely comfortable working in low light, poor weather, tight spaces, and unpredictable schedules. Rain, dark churches, winter weddings — none of these are a problem, and often they lead to some of the most atmospheric images of the day.

Do you charge travel fees?

My quote is inclusive of all charges with NO hidden extras.

Can we request an engagement or pre-wedding shoot?

Absolutely — it is a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and help me understand your dynamics before your big day.

Do you edit every photo?

Yes — all final photos receive professional colour correction, exposure balancing and expert finishing to ensure consistency and quality throughout your gallery.

What equipment do you use?

I shoot with professional grade camera Nikon equipment. The camera body has dual memory card slots meaning pictures are double backed up, along with a back-up camera on hand.

Are you insured?

Yes, I hold public liability and professional insurance, so you — and your venue — are fully covered.

How do you handle group photos efficiently?

It is good practice to use a pre-planned list so group shots are fast, organised ensuring no person is missed, and the experience is enjoyable. The list saves much time meaning  more time for celebrations.
